Bybit: how to create API keys

Bybit is a centralized cryptocurrency exchange established in 2018. There are over 290 digital currencies and 350 trading instruments available on the exchange.
Bybit offers the following markets: Perpetual Contracts, Futures, Inverse Futures, Options, and Spot. 

In order to connect your Bybit account to TabTrader you’ll need to link your API keys in the Portfolio section. 

If you already have a set of API keys, this article explains how to add your API account to TabTrader.

The following article will provide you with step-by-step instructions on creating API keys on Bybit.  

How to create API keys

Log in to your Bybit account on the Bybit website.

Click on your account icon in the top right corner of the screen and select "API" from the drop-down menu.

Click on "Create New Key".

Select your API type.
Based on your preference, you can choose either of the two.

Enable "Connect to Third-Party Application" and select TabTrader from the list.

Down below, select the permissions.

Enable "Read-Write".

Check the "Unified Trading" box (only the Unified Trading Account type is supported).

Set the permissions for the API key: Orders, Positions, USDC Derivatives Trading, Trade.

Do not enable the “Assets” permissions.

Complete a 2FA security authentication.

Copy and save the API and Secret keys and complete the process by confirmation "Understood".

Now you’re ready to add these keys into TabTrader. 

Keep your API keys safe and never share them with anyone.
