Getting Started
What do I need to do before connecting Hyperliquid to TabTrader?
Before connecting, make sure you have:
- A Hyperliquid account connected to a wallet
- Funds in your Hyperliquid account (required to generate an agent wallet)
- A supported wallet, such as WalletConnect-compatible wallet or a browser wallet.

How do I connect Hyperliquid to TabTrader?
- Go to Portfolio then click “+ Account”
- Select Hyperliquid
- Connect your wallet
- Choose “Generate Agent Wallet”
- Sign the authorizations
During setup you will be asked to sign two transactions:
API Wallet Authorization
This authorizes the agent wallet to place trades on your behalf.
Builder Fee Authorization
This allows TabTrader to receive a small builder fee from eligible trades executed through the platform.
After these approvals are signed, your agent wallet will be activated and trading will be enabled in TabTrader.
What is an agent wallet?
An agent wallet is a dedicated crypto wallet that executes trades on your behalf. It is authorized by your main wallet but limited strictly to trading permissions.
Agent wallet cannot withdraw or transfer your funds from your Hyperliquid account.
Trading on Hyperliquid
What markets can I trade?
TabTrader supports trading on Hyperliquid for:
- Spot markets
- Perpetual futures markets.
Trades are executed using Hyperliquid’s central limit order book (CLOB) trading model.
Do I need to sign every trade with my wallet?
No. Once the agent wallet is authorized, it can execute trades without requiring your main wallet to sign each transaction.
Can I set up and trade on mobile?
Yes. You can connect your wallet and create an agent wallet, and start trading directly from the TabTrader mobile app.
Security and wallets
Does TabTrader control my funds?
No. TabTrader never controls your funds.
Your assets remain in your Hyperliquid account and are only accessible through your approved wallet.
Can the agent wallet withdraw my funds from Hyperliquid?
No. Agent wallets are limited to trading actions only and cannot transfer or withdraw assets.
Can I revoke TabTrader’s access?
Yes. You can revoke the agent wallet authorization directly through Hyperliquid at any time.
Fees
Are there additional fees when trading through TabTrader?
TabTrader may receive a builder fee from eligible trades executed through the platforms as part of Hyperliquid’s builder program.
Troubleshooting
Why can’t I generate an agent wallet?
This may happen if:
- Your Hyperliquid account has no funds
- Your wallet is not connected correctly.
- Required approvals have not been signed.
Why is trading disabled?
Trading may be disabled if:
- Agent wallet authorization has expired.
- Builder fee authorization is missing.
- The agent wallet authorization has been revoked.
